ART IN THE PARK FESTIVAL
Date: Saturday, August 27, 2011 ~ 10am to 10pm
Location : Downtown Trenton ~ Sesquicentennial Park at 5-Points

A kick-off to our exciting new season!  Season Tickets will go on sale at 2pm.  10am ~ Scrappy Quilters show in Stella Bleaux Building, Art Guild in Museum Annex & Museum open ~  Sidewalk Sales ~ Craft vendors: Farmer's Apothecary, Mady's Makings, Rockin' Ragz & Sew Blessed, June Bug Creations, You're a Doll Baby, Gammi's Garden, Auntie M's Needle Magic, My Crafty Ways & Jewelry by Rene.  Food: hamburgers, hotdogs, walking tacos, kettle korn, ice cream, snow cones, cotton candy & more.  Music with local artists beginning at 2pm: Jenny Franklin, Charlie Bacon & Trenton Brass, to name a few. Bed Races will begin at 5:00.  Featured band at 7pm is SOCA JUKEBOX, with Trenton native, Clay Johnston. DON'T MISS THIS FUN-FILLED FESTIVAL!!

LIVERPOOL (A Tribute to the Beatles)
Date: Saturday, October 1, 2011 at 7:00pm
Location: Ketcham Community Center
Tickets: ST, GA, NS, SGA  Advanced Reserved Seating Tickets are available at the price of $12 for the floor & $15 for red seats in the balcony.  Reserved Seats are available at Howard's Department Store or by calling Kathi at 660.359.2858 or 660.485.6647. Also a check may be sent to PO Box 201, Trenton, MO 64683 with a self-addressed stamped envelope & reserved ticket will be sent by return mail.  Performance tickets at the door will be $15.  GCFOA Season Ticket holders will be admitted free, as will NCMC Students with proper ID, but if they want a reserved seat it needs to be picked up prior to the day of the show.  Students (age 12-18) will be admitted for $5 and children (11 years of age & under) will be admitted free with an adult, but again, reserved seat tickets need to be obtained in advance.
 5:30pm: Donor & Season Ticket Holder Reception: "A Taste of England" ~ authentic English treats prepared by local restaurant owner who is a native of England and a GCFOA Board Member.

TRENTON ACTING GUILD

A perennial favorite, Trenton Acting Guild, will present a play in the beautiful Hoover Theater located on the third floor of the historic Grundy County Jewett Norris Library. This year's production, "All I Really Need to Know I Learned in Kindergarten” will be in honor of long-time kindergarten teacher, Susan Provance, who passed away earlier this year and was a founding member of the Acting Guild.  The play has been described as “heartwarming, charming, funny and touching.  The stories are about all of us.”  The play is made up of short scenes that look at what is profound in everyday life.

TRENTON HIGH SCHOOL VESPER SERVICE

The Trenton High School Vocal Music Department featuring Gold Rush, TMS Show Stoppers, THS Chamber Choir and THS Concert Choir, under the direction of Matt Remus, will perform their annual community Christmas vespers program.

GRAND RIVER VALLEY COMMUNITY CHOIR & ORCHESTRA
Date: Saturday, December 10, 2011 at 3:00 pm

This combined group comprised of professional and non-professional musicians from the area, will present selections from Georg Friedrich Handel's oratorio...Messiah.  George Brundage is the musical conductor. Check out their Facebook page.

THE HUNT FAMILY

The Hunt Family from Virginia performs Celtic, bluegrass, inspirational and original music that offers a unique blend of diversity to each show. In addition to fiddling and step-dancing, this amazing family of  nine also plays guitar, bass, keys, drums and mandolin. This family oriented show will appeal to a wide audience. www.huntsontour.com
